"You've got a new direction" is more than a pop lyric; it's a mantra. A simple phase that reminds us of something true . . . if you muster the courage, the faith, and go for it, you can head in a new direction. We're never too old--or too young--to change.
DANAE absolutely loves the elegant, yet edgy deign of this handmade necklace from Sarah Bayot, Founder of Kicheko Goods. But the Direction Necklace is more than just a piece of jewlery; Kicheko is using it to change lives.
Each purchase of a Direction Necklace provides a scholarship for underresourced children to attend school. Currently, Kicheko is partnered with Mango Tree School, a primary school based in Uvira that educates over 200 primary-level students in the South Kivu province who are underresourced and cannot afford school fees and the other costs associated with attending school.
Kicheko is an attempt to combat this cycle by identifying students who are most in need and working with families to ensure that their children stay in school year round. Learn more about at kicheko.org
