More Information:
I’ve always wanted to write songs the whole world sings. As a preacher’s kid with a strong voice, my early memories often include leading adults in gospel songs. I loved seeing people close their eyes, feel the music, and experience a deeper level of connection to the world. My mother made sure my brothers and I took piano, and when I was 12, I convinced her to let me switch to guitar. I wrote my first song a few months later and never looked back.
Over the past 25 years, I’ve written 100s of songs and independently released over 50 tracks. I released my first album at 17 years old, my second at 21, and my third at 24. This third EP is the earliest collection of songs still available online and established the beginning of my pop approach to being a singer/songwriter. I loved working with producers to figure out the relationship of background vocals to the melody and how hooks bolstered the story I was trying to tell.
