Recording: 2:00 Ante Meridiem

When you enter the studio, you enter not only your soul - but hopefully many souls. I always struggle to leave my ego outside the room...and I’m coming to see it’s not about leaving the ego outside, but going beyond the ego. Going deeper than the ego dare go. Going to a place of communion.

Creating “2:00 Ante Meridiem” with Daniel Smith elevated every single note and was a dream come true. When he heard the song without a tempo and without a time signature, they didn’t say, “well that just doesn’t work.” They entered the unknown together and from there we created something that I truly believe is beautiful.
